DeGeneres first noted “how important [his] hair is” to him, so she had a special cap designed that hovered just above his sculpted ’do.

The talk-show host then told Bieber how “proud” she is of him and his accomplishments before presenting the singer with his diploma.

A beaming Bieber held up his diploma — and even said a few words.

Earlier in the show, the superstar announced to the shrieking girls and women in the audience that he was going on tour.

Justin Bieber Graduates From High School

Justin Bieber wasn't a big fan of school, but he says that he finished because his mom Pattie Lynn Mallette wanted him to. Celebrities like Beyonce, Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan didn't finish school once their careers took off, but Biebus actually got it done.

Justin, who was recently mobbed in London, tells The Daily Telegraph: “I just finished high school. I passed my test — I’m free! It was hard doing school and work every day.”

His mom pushed him. “[Graduating] was something my mom really wanted me to do, so I had to do it for her."

Bieber rather experience life than go to school. "This kind of lifestyle has given me a different perspective on life. At school, usually you have to do a lot of writing and reading. I’m not really into that stuff. I like to be out there.”

You hear that? Justin rather hang out on a yacht than do tedious things like "writing and reading" because he's "not really into stuff like that." High school is for losers, making like $40 million a year is better. Dream big.

Justin Bieber Visits School For Underprivileged Kids

Justin Bieber may be easy to make fun of as the world's first 17 year-old male lesbian, but sometimes, he's hard to hate on. The Biebs was recently named one of the most charitable celebs of 2011, and based on this clip from Ellen, it's not hard to see why.

Justin bieber Visits Whitney Elementary

Justin stopped by Whitney Elementary recently to greet some young fans and sing a song from his Christmas album. The school was founded to assist underprivileged kids, and surprisingly poverty is not a condition that the Biebs is unfamiliar with. "For me, I grew up and I didn’t have a lot. We went to food banks to get food for me," he told the school's principal.

Justin often seems a bit awkward when he's greeting fans, and that's occasionally the case in this clip, but you have to respect him for taking time out for some of his less fortunate fans. It's one thing to write a check to support an important cause; it's another thing to personally involve yourself like the Biebs does here.

Justin Bieber Surprises School With $100,000 Donation and Concert (VIDEO)

(YouTube)

Justin Bieber surprised the children of Whitney Elementary in Las Vegas on Tuesday by donating $100,000 to the school in which the majority of the students are homeless.

The Biebs stopped by “The Ellen DeGeneres show” today and announced he would make the charitable gift as well as perform a holiday concert at the school, which DeGeneres brought attention to on a segment earlier this year.

The kids and their principal, who DeGenerous had on the show via video, were beyond thrilled at the news.

Bieber will also donate a portion of the sales from his newly-released Christmas album, “Under the Mistletoe,” to a number of charities, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Pencils of Promise.
