In the never-ending battle for Twitter supremacy, Lady Gaga has hit a new milestone.

The singer now tops 20 million followers, becoming the first person to cross the threshold.

At this moment, Gaga has 20.18 million Little Monsters on the social media platform.

Justin Bieber celebrated his 18th birthday week by crossing the 18 million mark to maintain his second-place standing. He can now count 18.14 million Twitter users as followers.

Katy Perry (15.78 million), Shakira (14.58 million) and Rihanna (14.53 million) complete the Top 5.

Other notables include Kim Kardashian (13.67 million), who remains more popular than President Obama (12.86 million).

The Biebs is supposedly “burning a hole through his hard-earned fortune in a desperate bid to impress his two-years-older girlfriend,” explains the tabloid.

Wow, talk about blowing through your allowance.

And just what is the teen pop prince supposedly buying?

“Every date is a production, from bodyguards to flowers, private jets to catered meals,” says a so-called Bieber “friend.” “Plus, he buys her major gifts. It’s all adding up pretty quickly.”

It turns out Gomez isn’t really Bieber’s million-dollar “Baby” after all.
