MTV Announces Punk’d Returning March 19; Airs Clip with Guest Host Miley Cyrus

During MTV’s New Year’s Eve broadcast, it was officially announced that “Punk’d” is returning on March 19.

As Gossip Cop reported back in August, the hidden-camera show will feature a series of rotating hosts, including Justin Bieber, Kellan Lutz, Bam Margera, and former “Punk’d” star Dax Shepard.

In the preview aired during MTV’s New Year’s Eve celebration, “Punk’d” guest host Miley Cyrus, along with pal Kelly Osbourne, pull a prank on Khloe Kardashian in which a food delivery man uses Cyrus’ bathroom, and gets his balls caught in his zipper.

“Punk’d” is produced by former host and creator Ashton Kutcher.

Justin Bieber to Host ‘Saturday Night Live’?

Is Justin Bieber going to host “Saturday Night Live”?

While absolutely nothing has been confirmed, the news was possibly leaked by 16-time host Alec Baldwin during an interview he conducted with “SNL” boss Lorne Michaels for his Here’s The Thing podcast.

Reading off Michaels’ bulletin board of the season’s hosts, Baldwin says, “The biggest names in the business are coming here [to host]. You have Ben Stiller and Melissa McCarthy, [who] won the Emmy Award… and Katy Perry‘s coming and Jimmy Fallon… Jonah Hill, and I don’t want to ruin any other names, [but] Bieber’s confirmed, and he’s the music and the [host].”

A source close to the show tells Gossip Cop, “There’s no word on Justin Bieber yet.”

Bieber has never hosted, although he did serve as the musical guest for Tina Fey’s 2010 hosting turn.

The next two “SNL” broadcasts will be hosted by Zooey Deschanel (February 4) and Channing Tatum (February 11).

Selena Gomez To Host MTV Europe Awards

Selena Gomez will host the MTV Europe Music Awards on November 6, it was announced on Monday.

The event will take place at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

In addition to typical hosting duties, Gomez will tweet and provide commentary for MTV’s website.

“I’m so excited to be the host of the 2011 MTV EMA – it’s a dream come true,” said Gomez, whose international public profile includes serving as a goodwill ambassador for the children’s charity UNICEF.

Lady Gaga leads all performers with six EMA nominations, followed by Katy Perry and Bruno Mars at four apiece.

Gomez’s boyfriend, Justin Bieber, is also a nominee, along with superstars including Adele and Kanye West.
