One night after poking some fun at Justin Bieber, Golden Globes host Ricky Gervais has been forced to flee the singer’s rabid fans.
(Not really.)
During his monologue, Gervais mentioned Bieber’s paternity non-scandal, joking that The Biebs couldn’t have fathered a child.
On Monday, the comedian tweeted, “Getting out of town now. Bieber fans aren’t happy with me. That’s some scary sh*t. Ha ha. Bye LA. hello NY!”
And just in case you were worried that Bieber’s East Coast fan base would tear Gervais to shreds when he touches down in the Big Apple, it looks like he’s well guarded.
“I’ve got enough protection against Bieber fans now…” tweeted Gervais, along with a picture (above) of his adorable (but surely fierce) protector.
